Special Publications 1967-2015
The Alaska Geological Society (AGS), a not-for-profit organization of both professional geoscientists and general earth science enthusiasts, contributes significantly to the understanding of Alaska's geology, which is one of the most interesting, complex, and enigmatic geological areas on earth.
This collection of AGS publications includes symposia, structure and stratigraphic studies, field trip guidebooks, and special topics published from 1967 through 2015.
Among the regions discussed are the North Slope, Arctic Ocean, Bering Sea, Upper and Lower Cook Inlet, and the Gulf of Alaska. Recent field guides cover the complexes of South-Central Alaska, Indian to Hatcher Pass; Denali National Park Road and the Parks Highway; and, Kachemak Bay and Seldovia.
