Description:

This course will introduce and cover the entire field of geothermal energy. Due to the wide range of student backgrounds, this course will not get “into the weeds” on topics, but will provide a foundation for participants to subsequently deep-dive into any specific areas of interest. A basic freshman-level knowledge of geology, science, math and engineering is assumed. At a conceptual level, political and legal aspects will also be covered. See Full Description

~ Session 1 - Geology of Geothermal Systems 8:45 - 10:15
~ Session 2 - Engineering aspects of Geothermal Systems 10:30-12:00
~ Lunch 12:00-1:00
~ Session 3 - Case Studies 1:00-2:30
~ Session 4 - Law and Policy 2:45-4:15
