Description:

Evaluation of Tight-Shale Reservoirs: Sedimentologic, Stratigraphic, and Geochemical Tools to Identify Production Sweet Spots
This virtual short course focuses on methods and workflows for identifying, characterizing, and developing tight-shale reservoirs. Participants will learn how to apply mudrock depositional, sedimentological, sequence stratigraphic, and geochemical principles to exploration areas and production assets in shale basins. Subsurface data from a variety of oil and gas shale plays will be examined and in-class exercises will contribute to understanding on controls of sweet spots.
